Conception, development and testing of new material for the realisation of worm screws
The project aims to design a new plastic material with sufficient resistance to abrasion and tearing to be used for the creation of worm screws.
As is known, the construction of metal parts entails high production costs because each part must be processed individually with a time-consuming milling and/or turning cycle. Being able to create a material that allows the realisation of these plastic components guarantees a drastic cost reduction.
Field of application: Industrial Applications
Material: Aramid& PTFE Filled PA66
Purpose: Conception, development and testing of new material for the realisation of worm screws
Success factors: Resistance to abrasion, Resistance to tearing, Low friction coefficient
