Study, development and testing of a conductive polymer for the production of soles

In this project, the target characteristic was that of electric conductivity which had to be within a range of 10^3 and 10^6. The application was to try to ensure that everything made of metal does not encounter an insulating obstacle before reaching earth (earthing principle).
This must apply to components such as solesso that the electric discharge does not return upwards, but discharges to the ground.
Formac has created a compoundwith the use of steel fibres which offer maximum conductivityand which are also colourable as required by the customer, who wished have a customisable product. The adopted technical solution guarantees product linearity and electrical conductivity.
Formac’s laboratory dedicated to research & development and quality is equipped with all of the instrumentation to measure the conductivity data in such a way as to supply each batch with the relative analysis certificates which certify its compliance with the agreed specifications.
