Thermoplastic compounds for the food sector
Formac Srl designs, engineers and produces an articulated range of thermoplastic compounds intended for contact with foodstuffs for which the absence of foreign bodies and contamination of any origin is therefore guaranteed. Our compounds are compliant with the requirements set forth by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and by the European regulations for contact with food.
Thanks to their lightweight and workability, the materials for contact with food can replace metal in the realisation of a broad range of applications used in the systems and machinery for processing meat, fish and poultry, dairy products, baked goods and confectionery.
Our portfolio includes special products created for identification through scanning with a metal detector or, alternatively to natural colouring, we also propose materials with blue colouring, ideal for optical detection. This makes it possible to increase safety and reduce costs during production processes.
Our technical office can aid you in the choice of the most suitable plastic for your applications in contact with food and also aid you in the development of new materials.
